If there is one aspect of what we do that really sets us apart from other companies in this field, it is that we actually make a point of being with our patients when they are in the clinic and thoughout their visit.

We really do understand that for many of you the idea of weight loss surgery can be daunting - it is the last resort, and the final step in a long journey of failed diets and disappointments for most patients. You may be worried and anxious at the thought of going outside the US for surgery. There's no reason for you to be scared! We have lots of experience in bringing patients from the UK (and other English-speaking countries) to Brno in Cz for Bariatric Surgery, and we will be there to meet you in the Czech Republic, so there's no need to feel alone in an unfamiliar country. About Cosmetic Bliss and Dr Michal Cierny - who we are & what we do

Cosmetic Bliss is a UK based company whose focus is arranging Obesity surgery and post-weight loss cosmetic surgery in Brno in the Czech Republic for English speaking patients. We really understand the needs and concerns of our patients, and we give a very personal and caring service to all those who choose to make their journey with us.

What sets us apart from others in this field and what our patients most value is that Deborah Darling and Michael Dermody, the two directors of the company, spend almost all their time in Brno with the patients giving one-on-one care and attention, help and reassurance. Deborah lived in the USA for 12 years, trained as a nurse in the States, and has 20 years nursing experience. She will accompany you to the clinic and will stay with you for all your pre-op tests and you will see a lot of her during your visit for surgery. Michael also has lived and worked in the US, has a background in business and psychotherapy, and will be personally responsible for arranging your visit and ensuring your comfort and well-being throughout. We also have a Czech nurse - Zuzana - who has travelled widely in the US, speaks fluent English and will visit you in your hotel after you are discharged from the clinic to monitor your progress and look after you until you fly home.

We are very proud and fortunate to have as our partner bariatric surgeon DR Michal Cierny PhD.

Dr Cierny is one of the leading Bariatric surgeons in the Czech Republic. He is a surgeon of international experience and reputation, and has performed a great many successful Sleeve and Band procedures. Please click here for his CV. Your Itinerary and Package - What is included

Price $8,900 for either Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (sleeve) or Adjustable Gastric Band (band)

You should allow for a minimum length of stay away from home of 10 days.

You will be responsible for the cost of your return flight to London (or direct to Prague in the Czech Republic if you prefer). We will be happy to advise you of the most convenient and cost-effective route/timing.

Apart from this EVERYTHING ELSE IS INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE. There are absolutely NO "HIDDEN EXTRAS".

Your payment of $8,900 includes:

• Direct return flight from London (Stansted) Airport to Brno (Cz) - If you would prefer to fly from US to Prague in Cz, we will arrange to collect you by chauffer driven car from Prague Airport to Brno, and return you to Prague at the end of your stay
• All internal transport (using our driver) in the Czech Republic
• One night's Stay in the 4* Grand Hotel Brno pre-op, before you go to the clinic
• Four nights' stay in the clinic
• All pre-op tests and consultation fees
• The Sleeve (or Band) operation, inc. all Materials (Johnson & Johnson staples and bands are used) medications, specialist treatment and fees, food and clinic fees
• Post operative care, treatment and check-ups whilst at the clinic
• Three nights' stay in the 4* Grand Hotel after discharge from the clinic
• Nurse visits to the Hotel during your stay after discharge
• Medical insurance to pay for emergency treatment in the Czech Republic if required
• On-going support for 12 months post-op from Cosmetic Bliss by e-mail and telephone

Our UK patients fly home on the third day post-operatively, but we are aware that for patients from the US a longer stay (3 nights in Hotel) will be needed before making a tiring long-haul flight, and the cost of this has been included in the package. Heparin (to prevent DVT) will be administered prior to departure for home.

We appreciate that some patients will wish to come with a relative/partner. Please enquire as to the additional costs, and we will be happy to arrange this.

Will the surgery be successful?

Weight loss Surgery is the only statistically proven effective treatment for Morbid Obesity. We believe that the less invasive, more straightforward surgical treatments such as Sleeve Gastrectomy and Gastric Banding can achieve results that can transform and prolong the lives of our patients. What to do next

First, please read through the information on procedures (Sleeve and Band) on the website. Look out information from other sources too. We think it is vital that all patients are as fully informed as possible before deciding on surgery...DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!

Remember, in order to qualify for surgery you need to have a BMI of 40+ (or at least 35+ if you have other health conditions caused by, or made worse by Obesity - eg. Type II Diabetes)

Complete the on-line medical questionnaire as fully and as carefully as you can. Please upload a couple of photographs if possible - it helps Dr Cierny in his assessment.

We will then submit your questionnaire to Dr Cierny for his approval. As soon as we have his response we will call or e-mail you to discuss dates, travel arrangements and how to proceed. At this stage you have made no commitment, and are entirely free to make your decision in your own time. We can absolutely promise you that there will be no "sales pitch", no pressure to decide, and no chasing you! All we will do is to try to give you honest accurate information and answer any questions you have.
