We wanted to add this topic as we had surgery with Cosmetic Bliss very recently. and can’t say enough positive things about this company other than completely AMAZING!!!!

We both had a gastric band fitted by Dr Cierny and the team, and they were extremely kind, caring and professional. The pre op examinations were above and beyond anything quoted in the UK (ECG, complete blood count (CBC), ultrasound, urinalysis, chemistry panel, chest x-ray and gastroscopy (by the way you are sedated for this). The op does not take place until Dr Cierny is completely satisfied.

Although there was some pain, it was made bearable by the friendly staff. Michael and Deborah explained everything about the procedure before we arrived and they did not disappoint. As we were there for 5 days, we all were thoroughly examined daily and all questions answered over the period if any concerns arose. You would think by the price of the procedure with Cosmetic bliss there would be limited care but this was not the case. The aftercare was outstanding and the nursing staff were very efficient and nothing was too much trouble. Pain relief was plentiful (tee hee)

Deborah visited every day and spurred us on to ensure that we were getting up and about to help with the healing process. Her and Michael were available 24 7 via mobile when not at the clinic and have even given us gifts for previous patients (live very near) Their dedication to ensure the best weight loss package is available is brilliant, and it doesn’t stop when you fly home, Deborah/Michael and a nutritionist are available to talk to for additional advise or just a friendly voice of support. The hard work and organisation of the whole process has not gone unnoticed by us, the girls in room E (you know who we are! lol)

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!! Cosmetic Bliss cost me £5000. Flew to the Czech Republic to BMI clinic in Brno. Was met at the airport by the managers of Cosmetic bliss (Debbie and Michael) and taken to a hotel where they answered all my questions. They took me to the clinic the next morning where they introduced me to Dr Cierny who is a fantastic professional caring surgeon. Debbie and Michael stayed with me and were so caring and kind making sure that I was OK. After surgery stayed in clinic for 4 days of brilliant care from lovely nurses. Debbie and Michael visited every day. My every need was catered for. Before surgery I had numerous tests that they don't do in the UK i.e. gastroscopy, abdominal and chest x-rays, blood tests etc. I can't tell you how wonderful the staff were. I would hate to have surgery anywhere else. Was driven to the airport and when I got home had a phone call from Michael to make sure I was ok. The next day Debbie called to see how I was and told me to call or e-mail them whenever I need. Have also received lots of e-mails and advice from them. Basically they are with you ALL the way. Am going for my first fill in January - 3 fills are included in the price and you can choose which from a few clinics in the UK. If I had to have cosmetic surgery of any kind again I would ONLY go to Cosmetic Bliss. You can look them up on the internet. Would love to hear from anyone else who has gone to them for surgery.

PS I have heard that a lot of places only keep you in overnight and this APPALLED Dr Cierny who said it would go against his ethics to do surgery on anyone and send them home the next day. He will only do surgery if you stay in his clinic and are closely monitored for 4 days because for instance I had a Heparin injection everyday to make sure that no blood clots formed which is especially vital when an overweight person has surgery and I had anti-biotic drips to prevent infection, wounds cleaned regularly, and drips to avoid dehydration. He will not let you go home until you have shown that you can keep food down and water down and when he is sure that your wounds are healing properly.

I was banded by Dr Cierny in Brno, Czech Republic on 16/6/09 through Cosmetic Bliss - it was a great experience and I am so glad I chose them!

As well as the gastric band op, my payment included return air fares from Stansted, one night in the 4* Grand Hotel- Brno, 4 nights in the clinic, pre-op tests which consisted of a gastroscopy, ecg, abdominal ultrasound, breathing tests and chest x-ray. In my case Dr Cierny also repaired my hiatus hernia! There is a consultation with the psychologist at the clinic and only if all the tests are OK does the procedure go ahead. The package also includes an escort from the amazing Deborah, who is with you every step of the way. Insurance is also included in case of any complications. A nutritionist on their staff has already been in touch with me and 3 band fills in Harley Street are also included in the package price.

The surgeon, anaesthetist and their team of doctors and nurses are amazing and I have never had such good care. Everything is explained and the surgeon himself visits you each day. A driver is employed to collect patients from the airport on Sunday and return them to the airport on Friday.

The clinic is exceptionally clean and there is no MRSA. The nursing staff are wonderful and caring. The surgeon and some of the other doctors and nurses speak excellent English and the others good English!

I can honestly say I was delighted with the whole thing and would recommend that anyone considering a gastric band or gastric sleeve operation consult Cosmetic Bliss. They really do what they say on the box.

Hi. I as we speak I am sitting in the BMI clinic in Brno about to have my op at 8am in the morning. The care I have received so far by cosmetic bliss and the staff here is second to none. Anyone considering Cosmetic Bliss, my advice is stop looking at other companies and book up...you won’t be disappointed. xx :)

Well I researched the gastric band op for about 6 months before I decided on a place, when all was said and done I decided to go with a company called Cosmetic Bliss and I am glad I took the time I did to make a decision. Cosmetic Bliss were fantastic, they looked after me from the minute I phoned them, unlike other companies I contacted and then hassled me nonstop until I told them in no uncertain terms to leave me alone, Cosmetic Bliss give you the info and then leave you in your own time to go through it all and make your decision.

My only drawback at the time of booking was Cosmetic Bliss were based in the Czech Republic (We are always told not to go abroad) and as much as my doctor tried to put me off I’m glad I went through with it, I have been in hospital in this country and I can truly say I was looked after so great in the Czech Republic a hell of a lot better than I was when I went into hospital over here. Deborah and Michael from Cosmetic Bliss flew over to the Czech Republic with me and looked after me non stop while I was over there for my 5 days, visiting me every day of my stay, the doctor, Mr Cierny was fantastic and also saw me daily, the nurses were out of this world and most are quite fluent in the English language. You are treated so well in the Czech republic and if I ever needed surgery again I would fly over if they performed the op. HI All, I have just had a gastric sleeve on Tuesday 30th June. I travelled to BRNO in CZ republic with the aid of Cosmetic Bliss. The whole procedure was very well planned to ensure my journey was stress free and the whole procedure went really well. I can't say enough about the care and attention to detail that I have received from the medical staff and from Michael, Deborah and Cassandra from Cosmetic Bliss. I was home on Friday 3rd July and can't believe how well I am. I have also lost 11 pounds already and it won't be a week until next Tuesday. How’s that for results!
