I had my sleeve 4 weeks ago and I can honestly say it has been the best thing I have ever done. Once you’re in Brno, everything will be fine, the whole process from when you step off the plane is so organized, and you don’t have time to worry. I found that there was no time for nerves, and as everyone involved knows what they are doing you feel you are in the safest hands possible.

It’s understandable to be scared but honest you are in the best hands, everyone makes you feel so welcome, and they know what they’re doing, it will be all over before you know about it. I went 30th Sept last year and to date have lost 5 stone, it is worth it honest! I had the sleeve done at the end of October 2008. At my heaviest, in September last year, I was 19 stone 12lb. When I had my surgery, I was 18s 7lb. I weighed myself this morning and I'm 13s 3lb. My life has changed beyond recognition, I run four miles three times a week and also do two aerobics classes. I ran my first 5km race a week ago and when I crossed the finish line I felt like I had won the gold medal in the Olympics. I've still got three stone to go before I get to my goal.
