BMI (Body Mass Index)
Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both adult men and women.

BMI Categories
- Underweight = <18.5
- Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
- Overweight = 25-29.9
- Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater
- Morbid Obesity = BMI of 40 or greater
You may be eligible for Bariatric Surgery (Band or Sleeve) if your BMI is greater than 40. If you have serious co-morbidities, you may be considered for surgery if your BMI is less than 40, but greater than 35.
