If there is one aspect of what we do that really sets us apart from other companies providing surgery abroad, it is that we actually make a point of being with our patients throughout their visit to the Czech Repubilc for surgery. We believe this is essential in order to ensure our patients get the most from their visit and that it is a comfortable and pleasant experience for them.
Even before you come, we will take the time to explain exactly what is involved in your surgery, what it is like, what results to expect and how to prepare. We will talk everything though with you in detail, so there are no surprises, and we make sure you are fully informed about all aspects of your visit. We also will tell you what to expect in terms of the results of the surgical procedure, and how to make the most of it.
We give our patients a very personal “one-to-one” service, and when you fly in to Brno from Stansted – the flight takes only 1 hour and 50 minutes – we (Deborah & Michael) will be at Brno airport to meet you, and take you to the Hotel for your first night in the Czech Republic; in fact we will sometimes be on the same flight from Stansted, and can meet up at the airport.

On the next morning, when you go to the Hospital for Weight Loss Surgery (or to the Clinic for Cosmetic Surgery) Deborah or Michael will go with you, stay throughout your pre-operative examinations and make sure you are comfortable and feel at ease. The pre-operative tests for weight loss (bariatric) surgery take up most of your first day in the hospital, and Deborah will take you to the various departments for all the different tests, and be with you until everything has been completed. Our drivers, Mrs Jonesova and her daughter Darina who have worked with us for over 2 years will take us all to the hotel and also take care of all the transport to the Hospital and to the airport on your return home. They are very kind and reliable. Mum’s English is a bit limited but Darina speaks fluent English, and they both enjoy working with us. You may even get to see Mum’s (Zdenka’s) dog – it is the smallest dog we have ever seen, and she treats it like a baby!.
You may be worried and anxious at the thought of going outside the UK for surgery – many patients are at first, but there is no reason for you to be scared! We have a great deal of experience in bringing patients from the UK and other English-speaking countries to the Czech Republic for Surgery, and we have found over the years that being with you to give reassurance, explaining how things work and what will happen enables our patients to relax and make their experience of surgery a happy and very positive one.
After your surgery, as soon as the operation is completed, we phone home for you to tell them you are safe and well – everyone really appreciates this!
Deborah will be at the Hospital every day to check on you, look after you and encourage you to be up and about. You will be well looked after by the doctors and nurses – there’s no problem with communication - but it is good to have one of us from the UK with you. We know the ropes and have been through procedures ourselves, so we can explain everything in detail to you, and give you all the reassurance and support you will need.
When you get home we will keep in touch with you for as long as you need us (we expect you to maintain contact for at least 2 years) and we are always at the end of a phone whenever you need us.
